Nairn has two lovely beaches - West Beach, with childrenís play area, paddling pool and tea/ice cream shop and East Beach which is generally quieter, but great for flying kites. Rosemarkie, a small fishing village on the Black Isle, also has a lovely beach, with childrenís play area. Nearby is Chanonry Point an excellent place to get a close up view of the Moray Firth Dolphins.
